Hola, hola, hola a tod@s otra semana más estoy aqui para traeros la canción de la semana. Si señor/a, aqui en su casa, no tiene que pagar nada por el transporte, y sin salir a la calle y pasar frio para comprarlo. Bueno ya se acerca la navidad, y este servidor, está dispuesto a cualquier donativo que le quieran enviar, y por favor no penséis en el vil metal, yo os hablo de jamoncito, caña de lomo, barriles de cerveza,...jajajajaja, es broma.

Esta semana les toca el turno a un grupo del que ya hacia tiempo que quería mandar algo, hablo de Tankard el grupo cervecero por excelencia, y por supuesto la canción de esta semana va dedicada a la cerveza. Vamos a conocer algo de ellos:

Tankard es el nombre de una banda de speed/thrash metal de Frankfurt, Alemania, fundada en 1982. Despúes de perder a su guitarrista gracias a su imagen de un monton de borrachos, tuvieron que lanzar su primera grabación hasta 1986. Desde ese entonces la banda continuamente ha hecho canciones con el mismo estilo, canciones de metal rapidas en honor al alcohol. Ellos claman haber inventado un nuevo genero, "Alcoholic Metal". Ellos se auto-proclaman "Kings of Beer" (Reyes de la Cerveza) en honor al personaje folcklorico Gambrinus.

Tankard fue fundada en 1982 por tres compañeros de clases, Andreas Geremia, Alex Katzmann y Frank Thorwarth. Para ese entonces, la banda era conocida como Vortex y Avenger hasta que la banda descubrió el nombre Tankard en un diccionario. Su primera canción escrita fue "Ray Death", una canción sobre la guerra nuclear, y su primer presentación fue en un salon de clases local en 1983. Como la banda no tenia permitido beber cerveza en la escuela, escondieron la cerveza en botes de leche. Poco despues, Bernhard Rapprich deja la banda debido a que su conservador padre no queria que "anduviera con un monton de ebrios", y fue reemplazado por Andy Bulgaropulos.
